We're committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for your beloved pets. Before enrolling your dog(s) in our daycare services, please carefully read and acknowledge the following terms and conditions:

1. Health and Safety:

  • All dogs must be sociable towards other dogs and humans.
  • Puppies must be a minimum of 16 weeks old and have received specific vaccinations of 3x DHPPI, 2x Leptospirosis & 1x Kennel Cough.
  • Temperament evaluation (trial day) is required for all dogs before admission.
  • Dogs must be on a lead upon entering and exiting the facility.
  • Bark, citronella, and vibration collars are not permitted. If dogs arrive to our facility with these collars on, they will be removed and given back to the owner.

2. Vaccinations and Health Requirements:

  • All necessary paperwork and vaccinations must be completed before admission.
  • Sick dogs or those with communicable conditions will not be admitted.
  • Dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations as per our requirements. (DHPPI, Lepto & Kennel Cough)
  • Male dogs 6 months and older must be desexed to continuing attending.
  • Female dogs 12 months and older must be desexed to continuing attending.
  • Female dogs less than 12 months of age that come on to heat must not attended daycare. A 50% holding fee will apply to hold the scheduled days.
  • Flea-infested dogs may be treated at the owner's expense.

3. Medications:

  • We can administer oral medications as per your instructions.
  • Injections will not be administered.

4. Incidents and Liability:

If we consider that your pet requires veterinary care, we will attempt to contact you. If you cannot be reached, we will contact your listed Vet. Alternatively, The Grooming Lounge & Daycare will contact their own vet, Northland Vets, if yours cannot be reached. Owners are liable for full costs incurred.

Incidents: If your dog causes any damage to another dog resulting in veterinary care, you will be liable for the full cost. Payment is to be made to The Grooming Lounge & Daycare upon receipt of invoice and within 24 hours. The Grooming Lounge & Daycare will pass on payment to the victim dog’s owner. Failing to pay these costs may result in your dog being excluded from daycare.

Late pickup fees will be applied if dogs are not collected by 6:00 pm at $3 per minute.

5. Admission and Cancellation:

  • We reserve the right to refuse admission or cancel bookings without notice.
  • You will receive an allocation of complementary cancellations based on the number of scheduled visits per week. This allows for some flexibility while helping us manage our capacity efficiently.

1 Visit per Week:

  • Receive 1 complementary cancellation* every 2 months.**
  • Additional cancellations will be subject to a 50% cancellation charge.

2-3 Visits per Week:

  • Receive 2 or 3 complementary cancellations* every 2 months.**
  • Additional cancellations will be subject to a 50% cancellation charge.

4-5 Visits per Week:

  • Receive 4 or 5 complementary cancellations* every 2 months.**
  • Additional cancellations will be subject to a 50% cancellation charge.

*or full to half day change **calendar months

  • Unused complementary cancellations do not roll over to the next 2-month period.
  • No late cancellation fee will apply if you reschedule to a different day within the same week, as long as the number of days remains the same.
  • We require 14 days notice to reduce or change days of attendance per week.
  • We require 14 days notice to end attendance unless TGL requests early discontinuation.
  • Failure to show up without notice will result in a full charge for the missed visit.
  • There is no charge for public holidays, designated closures (such as Christmas & New Years).
  • If a client consistently no-shows for 3 consecutive weeks, we reserve the right to cancel any future bookings.

6. Indemnification:

  • The owner indemnifies The Grooming Lounge & Daycare against any claims arising from their dog's actions.

7. Acknowledgement:

  • By enrolling your dog(s) in our daycare, you acknowledge understanding and agreement with our policies.
  • You certify that your dog(s) are in good health and have not shown aggressive behaviour.
  • You release The Grooming Lounge & Daycare from liability, provided reasonable care is taken.
  • The Grooming Lounge & Daycare reserves the right to update terms and conditions for the safety of all dogs in our care.
